GEP is Gauteng's dedicated SMME support agency. It offers a mix of grants, loans, and non-financial support across several programmes — Start-up, Contract, Growth, Franchise, and Micro-finance.

The key gate: your business must be physically located in Gauteng Province. GEP is not national funding. Beyond location, GEP looks for registered, tax-compliant businesses with viable business plans and some track record.

Kayzi Advisory NoteGEP is one of the most accessible provincial agencies with multiple programme tracks. Match the founder to the right programme (Start-up vs Growth vs Contract) — applying to the wrong one is a common mistake.
